Eat the Flesh and Drink the Blood of Christ
“I am the bread of life.“ Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. “This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. “I am the living bread that came down out of heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread also which I will give for the life of the world is My Flesh.” John 6:48-51
Understanding Jesus can be done by connecting the dots. Jesus gives clues to what He means at different times of His ministry because not everyone is to know what He is taking about. Namely the Pharisees. He replied, “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them. Matthew 13:11
If you remain in Me and "My Words" remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:7
When you fill yourself with the Word of God, your are filled with Jesus (The Word).
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1
Feed your Spirit through the windows to your soul. You are what you eat. Feed on the Word.
“The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light. “But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light that is in you is darkness, how great is the darkness! Matthew 6:22, 23
The "Blood" that we drink is the Holy Spirit.
Once we are saved by believing in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, asking forgiveness and confessing Jesus as Lord, we still need to ask for a "gift" from the Holy Spirit. This is why Jesus said You must be born again. There are nine gifts and not everyone has the same gift.
If you are not familiar with 1st Corinthians 12, I suggest reading the entire chapter at one sitting. I don't believe we can learn by using a one year reading plan. The Word of God is not a soap opera.
In the first few verses we learn "what" the Initial evidence of the Holy Spirit is. It's not a gift. It's the ability to say, Jesus is Lord. verse 3. We can jump to the end of the chapter and learn to desire the greatest gift which is Love but, to learn the second part of the puzzle keep reading.
For in One Spirit we all were baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to "drink" one Spirit. Ist Corinthians 12:13
So, if you who are evil (for none are righteous) know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!” (In the name of Jesus our Lord and Christ. Amen.) Luke 11:13
