Now about spiritual gifts, brothers, I do not want you to be ignorant. You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols. Therefore I tell you that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus be cursed,” and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.
There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and He gives them to each one, just as He determines. The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slave or free, and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. Now the body is not made up of one part but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” it would not for that reason cease to be part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be? But in fact God has arranged the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be. If they were all one part, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, but one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the feet, “I don’t need you!” On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it, so that there should be no division in the body, but that its parts should have equal concern for each other. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? But eagerly desire the greater gifts. And now I will show you the most excellent way. 1st Corinthians 12:1-31 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40 We are commanded to love each other and that does not mean that we only have compassion but also, that we warn each other about obvious sins based on facts not gossip. And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, and be patient with everyone. 1 Thessalonians 5:14 The LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in. Proverbs 3:12 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. Galatians 6:10 I recommend that we read Ist Corinthians 13 until we can live it. May God fill you with the knowledge of His will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding in the name of our Lord, Jesus the Anointed One. one Lord, one faith, one baptism, Ephesians 4:5
Crossing the Red Sea was considered a baptism and John baptized with water in the River Jordan but, there is One who is greater than John who will baptize with the Holy Spirit and Fire. Furthermore, John said that he must decrease so that Christ can increase. In the Book of Acts there is a progression of baptisms and they were all different. But before that, Jesus breathed on the Apostles and said,"Receive the Holy Spirit." John 20:22 Acts Chapter 1, Jesus had said, ...for John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” verse 5 Acts 2:1, 120 disciples, (Acts 1:15) received the Holy Spirit with evidence of tongues of fire on top of there heads, like the dove landing on Jesus, and the sound of different languages also called, "tongues". Peter replied, “Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 BUT DON'T STOP THERE. KEEP READING. Acts 8:14-17 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that the people of Samaria had accepted God’s message, they sent Peter and John there. As soon as they arrived, they prayed for these new believers to receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit had not yet come upon any of them, for they had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Then Peter and John laid their hands upon these believers, and they received the Holy Spirit. Peter progressed but then Phillip went backwards. He baptized a eunuch in water which is ok, it is not wrong but, there is so much more. Acts 8:36-40 Then Peter the apostle yet, only a man, makes a mistake. Acts 10:44-48 ...Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message. The Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles, too. For they heard them speaking in other tongues and praising God. Then Peter asked, “Can anyone object to their being baptized, now that they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did?” So he gave orders for them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Afterward Cornelius asked him to stay with them for several days. Peter must have forgotten that they had to lay hands on the previous crowd recorded in Acts 8 because they had merely been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. Why would you need to be dunked in water if you have already been filled with the Holy Spirit? Can Light and Darkness exist in the same place? Is a person still a sinner even though they are filled with the Holy Spirit? You are only a sinner when you go against what God calls right. This is why the Holy Spirit is not always In you but, with you. ...that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. John 14:17 And for a final thought, Jesus did not say, Pick up your mat and go be baptized. Which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the man who was paralyzed—“I say to you, rise, pick up your bed and go home.” And immediately he rose up before them and picked up what he had been lying on and went home, glorifying God. And amazement seized them all, and they glorified God and were filled with awe, saying, “We have seen extraordinary things today.” Luke 5:23-26 And the prayer of faith will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. James 5:16 Oneness Warning To say that Jesus was not created is to say that God never spoke.
When God created the heavens and the earth He Said... but the first thing He said was Light Be or Let there be Light. When God spoke, His Holy Word became the Holy Spirit. The Word of God was born because God spoke. Then the Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary and His Word became flesh. When Jesus breathed His last breath He gave up His spirit and now the Spirit of Jesus is seated at the right hand of God our Father in heaven. Jesus is the First Born of All Creation. Colossians 1:15-20 I can't find a teachable church. I have come to the conclusion that Evangelists have started churches and also PhD Christians that only know what they have been taught by Universities.
Evangelists should always preach a salvation message but not to an already saved congregation. Pastors and teachers are for the church building. The PhD Christian accepts what is presented and does not change from the path he graduated from. I've been reading the Beliefs pages of Church websites and it seems that Old theories are considered concrete in their decisions. For example: The Nicene Creed is accepted as right and true yet, no where in the bible does it say to worship the Holy Spirit. Blessing and Honor, Glory and Power to Him who sits on the Throne And unto the Lamb forever and ever. Amen. "Thank you" Holy Spirit and Obedient Angels. The Holy Spirit is our Advocate, the Spirit of Truth, the Comforter and our Helper.our Helper. The 5 solas are very general in their statements. Sola 3 & 4 are basically the same and Sola 5 (Christ Alone) is not true Jesus said, I am not alone for the Father is with Me. And, if you have a family your time is divided. This could be a reason for divorce in the church. If you spend 100% of your time with God and neglect your family you are worse than an unbeliever. Water baptism is not how your sins are forgiven contrary to a particular church. Does it matter what the man above the water says or what is in the heart of the one being submerged. John said that he baptizes with water but the One who comes after him will baptize with the Holy Spirit and fire. John must decrease and Jesus must increase. John 3:30 One Baptism All 66 books of the Bible are Not Holy Scripture. Is first and second Chronicles Holy Scripture? Luke tells us in the first chapter that he is compiling and telling his version of what he saw and experienced. Jesus clarifies in Luke 24 twice about the Scriptures being the first five books of Moses, the Psalms and the Prophets. God is One but, not One Being. Where is the teachable church? I can accept your biblical "proof", can you accept mine? Do you know what your church believes? I will show biblical references when and if anyone wants to have a Bible Study. God's will be done in the name of His Son Jesus, my Lord and Christ. Amen. |
