Do you know what prayer Jesus prayed that was not answered? God actually told Jesus, no, in a way.
Jesus prayed, Father, if it is possible take this cup from Me. Jesus did not want to die. He was obedient. Jesus was a carpenter. A man a little lower than the angels who was filled with the fullness of God the Father. If Jesus was 100% God and man, why would He need to be filled with the power of God. So, He could be Full of Himself? LOL He became a man and quite possibly missed the nail or the hammer grazed the nail and hit His thumb. Maybe He stepped on a nail and knew the kind of pain it produced. Jesus said, Take this cup (of wrath) away from Me. Nevertheless, Thy will be done. He told His Father what He wanted yet, He knew that the answer could be "No". He was willing to be obedient even to the point of death. Sometimes what we want is not what we need. What we need is a Savior who would take the penalty of our sins upon Himself so that we would not have to suffer the consequences for our own actions. Nevertheless God's will be done in the name of His Son Jesus our Lord and Christ. Amen.
